Preloading required for all jumper classes (not required for equitation classes)
What is preloading? Preloading allows the next rider to enter the competition ring while another rider is still on course. This gives horses (and riders) a moment to acclimate to the ring environment, look at the jumps, and settle before starting, which often leads to a calmer, more confident round. Preloading also helps keep classes running smoothly and on schedule. Riders must remain clear of the active track and avoid interfering with the rider on course. Preloading is permitted at the discretion of the judge or gate official.

Championships Overview

This event is part of the Pinnacle Equestrian Tour season. Below is a brief overview of how each championship operates and how riders and horses qualify for finals and prize money.

Pinnacle Cup — Jumpers Championship

Jumper divisions at this event count toward the Pinnacle Cup, a season-long championship conducted on a rider/horse combination basis. Championship points are awarded by placing and accumulate across the season within a single selected championship track.

Rider/horse combinations may compete in multiple divisions throughout the season; however, championship points are earned in one selected track only. Championship prize money is awarded at the PET Championship Final.

Championship Finals Prize Money:
1.20m – $3,000 · 1.10m – $2,500 · 1.00m – $2,000 · 0.90m – $1,500 · 0.85m – $1,000 · 0.80m – $500 · 0.70m – $500 · 0.60m – $500

Equitation Championship — Medal Class

Equitation at PET is qualification-based. There are no championship points. The Good Hands and Seat Medal Class is the only equitation championship class.

Qualification: At every qualifying event, the top two finishers secure qualification for the Equitation Championship Final.

Championship Final: The Final may include a work-off, judge-determined tests, and a horse swap.

Equitation Championship Prize Money: $1,500

Next Gen Cup — Young Horse Championship

Young Horse divisions count toward the Next Gen Cup, a season-long championship conducted on a horse/rider combination basis and following the PET Championship framework.

Eligibility:
• Horses 5 & under: eligible up to 1.00m
• Horses 6 & 7 years old: eligible at 1.10m and over, as offered
